Sovereign People Law and Legal Definition
Sovereign people means a political body comprised of a consolidated number of citizens and qualified electors who possess the sovereign power and which they exercise through their chosen representatives. Generally, the sovereign people confer or designate upon the chosen representatives the absolute, unlimited and sovereign power to determine the qualification of voters, and the right to limit the elective franchise.
