Special Allocatur Law and Legal Definition
Special allocatur is an allowance of a writ like a writ of error that is legally required in certain cases. The term Allocatur formerly indicated that a writ, order or other pleading by a court, judge, or judicial officer was allowed. In Pennsylvania, it is still used to denote permission to appeal.
