Special Reprisals Law and Legal Definition
Special reprisal is a term used in the international law in the context of war. A reprisal is said to be special if the permission given by a state to its subjects to seize the property or person is limited to particular persons or things or in time and place. In other words, special reprisals are granted in times of peace to particular individuals who suffered an injury from citizens or subjects of another nation.
