Specialized distribution with reference to the entertainment industry means the distribution of a motion picture to limited audience, in a few theaters. In specialized distribution, only a limited advertising would be done. Publicity, reviews and word of mouth will be relied to build an audience for the movie. It is different from commercial distribution in which a picture is distributed for exhibiting in bigger number of theaters and any media. Wide publicity will be given to promote a picture in commercial distribution.
