Speech-Language Pathology Aide Law and Legal Definition
Speech-language pathology aide means a person who assists and facilitates a speech-language pathologist in evaluating the speech or language of individuals or in treating individuals with a speech-language or language disorder. A speech-language pathology aide must be registered with the speech-language pathology and audiology and hearing aid dispensers board (board) by the supervisor and his/her registration must be approved by the board.
Speech-language pathology aide is defined under Cal Bus & Prof Code § 2530.2 (h) as any person meeting the minimum requirements established by the speech-language pathology and audiology and hearing aid dispensers board, who works directly under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist.
