According to 40 CFR 501.2[Title 40 Protection Of Environment Chapter I Environmental Protection Agency Subchapter O Sewage Sludge Part 501 State Sludge Management Program Regulations Subpart A Purpose, Scope And General Program Requirements] Standards for sewage sludge use or disposal means the regulations promulgated at 40 CFR Part 503 pursuant to section 405(d) of the CWA which govern minimum requirements for sludge quality, management practices, and monitoring and reporting applicable to the generation or treatment of sewage sludge from a treatment works treating domestic sewage or use or disposal of that sewage sludge by any person.
