State Correctional Agency [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 489.5 (b) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter IV -- Office of Vocational and Adult Education, Department of Education; Part 489 -- Functional Literacy for State and Local Prisoners Program; Subpart A – General], the term state correctional agency means “any agency of State government that provides corrections services to incarcerated adults.”
