State Implementation Plans-SIP (Environmental Law) Law and Legal Definition
A State Implementation Plan or SIP is a U.S. Plan administered by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA) in compliance with the federal Clean Air Act. The SIP consists of narrative, rules, technical documentation, and agreements that an individual state will use to clean up polluted areas. EPA approves state plans for the establishment, regulation, and enforcement of air pollution standards
