Stimulants Law and Legal Definition
Stimulants are psychoactive drugs. They induce temporary improvements in mental and physical function of the body. Excitement of the body with stimulants results in stimulant intoxication. Wakefulness, enhanced alertness, and locomotion are a few examples of the effect of using stimulus. Since the stimulants give an enhancement to the functions of the body they are also called as "uppers". Stimulants are forbidden substances used for entertainment. The use of stimulants is considered as crime. Stimulants are also called as psycho stimulants.
