Stowage Law and Legal Definition
Stowage is the placing of goods in a ship in a manner as to ensure optimum safety and stability of the ship not only on a sea or ocean passage but also in between ports when parts of the cargo have been loaded or discharged. Stowage allows maximum space utility and easy access to cargo at the point of offloading.
