Student Away Credit Law and Legal Definition
Student away credit is the discount or reduction provided in the insurance premium if a driver is a student living away at a school. This reduction is available to students if the student’s school is more than 100 miles from home and does not own a car. The reason for this discount is that the driver's risk is lowered because time behind the wheel is reduced.
