Subject To Law and Legal Definition
Subject to means conditional or being dependent upon something. For example, when a property is transferred without clear title or encumbrance, with his/her knowledge and consent about the liabilities is attached to the property, such acquisition of the property is called an acquisition subject to the liabilities attached to the property. Such a transfer requires the consent of the lender.
