Subversive Law and Legal Definition
Subversive refers to "that which acts secretly against the government." Subversive acts are those acts designed to overthrow a government by force or other illegal means. For example, the police is investigating subversive groups in the student organizations. In 1950, the U. S. government enacted the Subversive Activities Control Act requiring Communist organizations to be registered with the United States Attorney General.
