Suitability as Adoptive Parent Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 8 CFR 204.301 [Title 8 -- Aliens and Nationality Chapter I -- Department of Homeland Security (Immigration and Naturalization); Subchapter B -- Immigration Regulations], suitability as adoptive parent(s) means “that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is satisfied, based on the evidence of record, that it is reasonable to conclude that the applicant is capable of providing, and will provide, proper parental care to an adopted child.”
