Supplementary Process Law and Legal Definition
Supplementary process is a procedure used in certain jurisdiction allowing for a summons to be served on a judgment debtor (a person who owes money to a plaintiff). The judgment creditor (debt collector) uses this procedure to call the judgment debtor to appear for an examination in order to get information about how to collect the judgment, such as asking questions about bank accounts, wages, etc.
