A surreptitious-entry warrant is a warrant that authorizes law enforcement officers to physically enter and observe an ongoing criminal operation. Such warrants authorize the law officer to enter private premises without the owner’s or occupant’s consent. A warrant authorizing a law officer to search an illegal drug lab may be referred to as a surreptitious-entry warrant.
