Under-Tutor Law and Legal Definition
Under-Tutor is a civil law term. It is used to refer to a person appointed by a court to represent the interests of a minor whenever the minor’s interests conflict with that of the tutor.
An under-tutor must in all cases act for the minor, when the tutor's and the minor's interest conflict. [Welch v. Baxter, 45 La. Ann. 1062 (La. 1893)].
