Uniform Controlled Substances Act Law and Legal Definition
The Uniform Controlled Substances Act is the fundamental law pertaining to control of narcotic drugs in the U.S. The Act was drafted by the U.S. Department of Justice. The Act was promulgated by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. The state governments governing the sale, use and distribution of drugs adopted the Act.
