Uninsured Medical Expense Law and Legal Definition
An uninsured medical expense is ine not covered by insurance, such as co-pays, deductibles, prescriptions, and any other medical, dental, and/or vision expenses due to medically necessary treatments or procedures. Out-of-pocket medical costs are considered "extraordinary" medical expenses, because they exceed the cost of basic coverage under a parent's health insurance plan.
