United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court Law and Legal Definition
The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court was established by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978. The United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court is an 11-judge court that hears requests from the Attorney General for surveillance warrants. The Court’s proceedings and records are generally not open to the public. The Court’s rulings shall be reviewed by the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review.
