United States Institute of Peace Law and Legal Definition
The United States Institute of Peace is an independent federal institution created for developing and disseminating knowledge about international peace and conflict resolution. The goals of this Institution are to help prevent and resolve violent international conflicts, promote post-conflict stability and development, and increase conflict management capacity, tools and intellectual capital worldwide. The Institution was established in 1984.
