United States-Supported Microfinance Institution Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 22 USCS § 2214a (13) [Title 22. Foreign Relations And Intercourse; Chapter 32. Foreign Assistance; International Development; Other Programs; Microenterprise Development Assistance; Miscellaneous Provisions], the term United States-supported microfinance institution means “a financial intermediary that has received funds made available under this part for fiscal year 1980 or any subsequent fiscal year.”
