Universal Legacy Law and Legal Definition
Universal legacy is a bequest of the whole of the testator's property to one or more persons.
The following is an example of a case law referring to universal legacy:
A universal legacy is a testamentary disposition by which the testator gives to one or several persons the whole of the property which he leaves at his decease. [Succession of Bannon, 341 So. 2d 623 (La.App. 4 Cir. 1977)].
