Unplatted Property Law and Legal Definition
Unplatted property refers to land that has not been platted or plotted. It is simply defined by the "metes and bounds" description (such as 42ºN12'3"E 200 feet; then 65ºN0'0"E 1000 feet). A plat is a map drawn to scale showing the divisions of a piece of land. It gives details of the land, its boundaries, lots, roads, and easements.
