U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command Law and Legal Definition
The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) is the U.S. Army's medical materiel developer. USAMRMC’s mission is to provide solutions to medical problems of importance to the U.S. war fighter at home and abroad. USAMRMC’s responsibility includes medical research, development, and acquisition and medical logistics management. USAMRMC consists of six medical research laboratories and institutes that performs the core science and technology research to develop medical solutions, and five subordinate commands that conducts medical materiel advanced development, strategic and operational medical logistics, and contracting, to complete the lifecycle management of medical materiel. USAMRMC’s headquarters is located at Fort Detrick, Maryland. The staffs of USAMRMC are highly qualified scientists, program managers, logisticians, contracting experts, and support personnel’s.
