USAonWatch Law and Legal Definition
USAonWatch refers to a crime prevention and community mobilization watch program that focuses on residential areas through citizen involvement. It is the face of the National Neighborhood Watch Program. The program is managed nationally by the National Sheriffs' Association in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, and the U.S. Department of Justice.
USAonWatch is the portal for training to assist law enforcement agencies and their communities, technical assistance, resource documents, watch stories, networking, and assistance to the field. The program tries to unite law enforcement agencies, private organizations, and individual citizens in a nation-wide effort to reduce crime and improve local communities.
