Usufructuary refers to someone who holds property by usufruct or of or relating to the nature of a usufruct. In Roman and civil law, it refers to a person who has the right to the benefits of another's property; a life-renter. Usufruct is the legal right to use and derive profit or benefit from property that belongs to another person.
