Utility Regulatory Commission Law and Legal Definition
According to 42 USCS § 6802 [Title 42. The Public Health and Welfare; Chapter 81. Energy Conservation and Resource Renewal; Electric Utility Rate Design Initiatives], the term "utility regulatory commission" means any State agency or Federal agency which has authority to fix, modify, approve, or disapprove rates for the sale of electric energy by any electric utility (other than by such agency).
