Uxoricide means murder of one’s wife. Uxoricide can also refer to the husband who killed his wife. In many patriarchal cultured countries uxoricide is a lesser crime than homicide. This is mostly done in matters of adultery. Uxoricide is treated as part of honor killing in such countries.
