Vault-Type Room [Energy] Law and Legal Definition
According to 10 CFR 73.2 [Title 10 – Energy; Chapter I -- Nuclear Regulatory Commission; Part 73 -- Physical Protection of Plants and Materials; General Provisions], the term vault-type room means “a room with one or more doors, all capable of being locked, protected by an intrusion alarm which creates an alarm upon the entry of a person anywhere into the room and upon exit from the room or upon movement of an individual within the room.”
