Veracity Law and Legal Definition
Veracity refers to Honesty; Credibility or truthfulness. In law, the term Veracity is used with regard to a statement of a witness or a document produced before a Court. The criminal record of a witness may be a reason to question the veracity of a witness. It refers to habitual observance of truth in speech or statement. It may also be used with reference to correctness or accuracy, as of the senses or of a scientific instrument; the accuracy of an account of an event; and reputation for veracity.
