Video Games Law and Legal Definition
According to 16 CFR 1505.1 [Title 16 -- Commercial Practices; Chapter II -- Consumer Product Safety Commission; Subchapter C -- Federal Hazardous Substances Act Regulations; Part 1505 -- Requirements for Electrically Operated Toys or Other Electrically Operated Articles Intended for Use by Children; Subpart A – Regulations], video games means “video game hardware systems, which are games that both produce a dynamic video image, either on a viewing screen that is part of the video game or, through connecting cables, on a television set, and have some way to control the movement of at least some portion of the video image.”
