View Ordinance Law and Legal Definition
Having his/her view obstructed by growing trees. The ordinance allows someone who has lost a view to sue the tree owner for a court order requiring him to restore the view. Buildings or other structure that may block views does not come under the scope of view ordinance. However, the ordinance has certain exemptions such as:
1.Certain species of trees which grow naturally.
2.where the tree is within a certain distance from his or her property
3.Trees on city property
