Vocational Rehabilitation Service Law and Legal Definition
Vocational rehabilitation service means goods and services necessary to enable an individual with a disability to engage in gainful employment. The vocational rehabilitation service includes diagnostic and related services. There are programs in most states providing services to people who have physical or mental disabilities to help them prepare for, gain, or retain employment.
Various vocational rehabilitation services are :Medical and Psychological Assessment, Vocational Evaluation and Planning, Career Counseling and Guidance, Training and Education after High School, Job-Site Assessment and Accommodations, Job Placement, Job Coaching, On-the-Job Training, Supported Employment, Assistive Technology and Devices or Time-Limited Medical and/or Psychological Treatment.
