Voluntary Exclusion or Voluntarily Excluded [Education] Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 85.1020 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle A -- Office of the Secretary, Department of Education; Part 85 -- Governmentwide Debarment and Suspension (Nonprocurement); Subpart I – Definitions], the term voluntary exclusion or voluntarily excluded means:
“(a) Voluntary exclusion means a person's agreement to be excluded under the terms of a settlement between the person and one or more agencies. Voluntary exclusion must have governmentwide effect.
(b) Voluntarily excluded means the status of a person who has agreed to a voluntary exclusion.”
