Volunteer Guardian Law and Legal Definition
Volunteer Guardian is a person appointed as guardian of a ward, who is not related to the ward by blood or marriage. Usually, s/he does not receive any compensation for acting as guardian of a ward. A volunteer guardian may receive reimbursement of expenses incurred or a minimum stipend with the approval from the court.
