Waiver of Collision Deductible Law and Legal Definition
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), also called, damage waiver is optional collision coverage available while renting a vehicle. This option pays one’s collision deductible when s/he carries collision coverage on a vehicle that is damaged by an uninsured or hit-and-run motorist who is at fault. However, coverage applies only when there is actual physical contact and when the victim can identify the uninsured driver or vehicle.
