Warrant of Eviction Law and Legal Definition
Warrant of eviction is an order issued by a court in an action for eviction brought by a landlord. In an eviction proceeding, the enforcement officer is authorized by the court to remove persons and their personal property from the premises. A warrant of eviction will be issued when the court finds in favor of the landlord. The warrant of eviction will be served to the tenant by the enforcement officer. Usually, the tenant has to be given statutory notice before evicting him/her.
