Weeds Control Law and Legal Definition
Weed control refers to the botanical component of pest control that is used to prevent weeds from reaching a matured crop which is ready for cultivation. Both physical and chemical methods are used to stop the weeds that are harmful to domesticated plants and livestock. In organic farming, chemical method of weed control are not used. The method adopted for weed control under organic farming are by using cover crops, pre irrigating the field to germinate weed seeds and using drip irrigation to distribute water around plant line only. Apart from these methods the most basic method is ploughing and cutting down the roots of annual weeds.
