Wet Lease [Aeronautics and Space] Law and Legal Definition
According to 14 CFR 119.3 [Title 14 Aeronautics and Space; Chapter I Federal Aviation Administration, Department of Transportation; Subchapter G Air Carriers and Operators for Compensation or Hire: Certification and Operations; Part 119 Certification: Air Carriers and Commercial Operators; Subpart A General], Wet Lease means “any leasing arrangement whereby a person agrees to provide an entire aircraft and at least one crewmember. A wet lease does not include a code-sharing arrangement.”
