Witness Jurat Law and Legal Definition
Witness jurat means a signing witness’s acknowledgment certificate. Here the witness acknowledges that s/he witnessed the signing of the document. However, this certificate though technically an acknowledgment is not a true jurat. But, for such certificates the phrase witness jurat is commonly used.
