Writ of Association Law and Legal Definition
Writ of association is an ancient writ issued against the officers of court directing them to associate themselves with the justices and sergeants so that there would be an adequate supply of commissioners for the assizes. Usually a writ of association is issued against the clerk of assize or subordinate officers.
