Younger-Generation Devise Law and Legal Definition
Younger generation devise is an alternate devise to the descendant of the recipient of a primary devise. For example, a devise of property to A and if A does not survive the testator then to A's son B creates a younger-generation devise in A's descendant, B. Alternate devise refers to a devise which according to the terms of the will displaces another devise if one or more specified events occur.
