Youth Justice Board Law and Legal Definition
Youth justice board refers to a non departmental body sponsored by the Home Office. Functions of the Youth justice board include:
a. to monitor performance of the youth justice system and report to the Home Secretary; and
b. to purchase secure accommodation for people under the age of 18 years who have been remanded or sentenced to custody.
