Youth or Young Adults with Disabilities Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 373.4 [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 373 -- Special Demonstration Programs; Subpart A – General], the term youth or young adults with disabilities means “individuals with disabilities who are between the ages of 16 and 26 inclusive when entering the program.”
