Normal School Law and Legal Definition
Normal school is a training school for public school teachers. Normal schools first appeared in the U.S. in the 1800’s. Prior to this period, the U.S. colleges existed for education in other fields such as law or medicine but not for teacher education. Before the establishment of normal schools, there was no formal teacher training. It is also known as teacher’s college.
