Rollover Mortgage Law & Legal Definition

A rollover mortgage is a mortgage in which the unpaid balance is refinanced every few years at then-current interest rates. This type of arrangement is to the advantage of the borrower if interest rates are falling, and to the advantage of the the lender if interest rates are rising. It is also sometimes referred to as a renegotiable rate mortgage.
