Gas Law and Legal Definition
According to 36 CFR 9.31 [Title 36 Parks, Forests, and Public Property Chapter I National Park Service, Department of the Interior], gas means "any fluid, either combustible or noncombustible, which is produced in a natural state from the earth and which maintains a gaseous or rarefied state at ordinary temperature and pressure conditions."
