General Legislation Law and Legal Definition
General legislation means legislation that applies to the community at large. It is generally enacted for the benefit of the general population. In most countries the rights of persons with disabilities are protected only by general legislation. However, general legislation is not a sufficient guarantee for the rights of disabled persons.
