General Restraint of Trade Law and Legal Definition
General restraint of trade is a restraint which constitutes a monopoly or unlawful restraint of trade. It is defined to be an agreement not to carry on a certain business anywhere. It is against public policy, and is void. [Kellogg v. Larkin, 3 Pin. 123 (Wis. 1851)].
